O! Eternal-Guru, I have come to Your sanctuary
to receive the comfort and glory of All-Pervasive Nam,
and to remove my anxieties.  1. Reflect.

Cannot think of another abode, defeated, I fall at Your door.
Ignore the record, liberate without the record, free me the virtue-less.
Ever Forgiver, Ever-Compassionate, Supporter of all,
Votary Nanak follows Truth-Exemplar, save me this time.  2.

ਤੋਫੀ ਮਹੱਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਇਓ ਸਰਨ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ॥
ਮਿਲੇ ਸੂਖ ਨਾਮ ਹਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਲਾਹੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਵਰ ਨ ਸੂਝੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਹਾਰ ਪਰਿਓ ਤੁਓ ਦੁਆਰਿ ॥
ਲੇਖਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਲੇਖੇ ਛੂਟਹ ਹਮ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਲੇਹ ਉਬਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
ਸਬ ਬਖਸਿੰਦ ਸਦਾ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਦੇਇ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਛੇ ਪਰਿਓ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਇਹ ਬਾਰੀ ॥ ੨ ॥ ੪ ॥ ੯ ॥

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.
