Sikh Cast Ep52 - “Rain! O’ Revered Cloud! Delay not even a bit” (Sabad of the week)

Rain! O’ Revered Cloud! Delay not even a bit.
Rain! O’ Beloved! Mind-support!
So the bliss occurs, mind remains excited forever.  1.  Reflect. 

O’ My Owner-Divine! I rely on You,
Why forget me from Your mind?
Female like, maiden-slave-like,
No beauty, without Husband-Divine.  1.

When my Ruler-Divine heard plea,
Came immediately, bestowed Grace. 
Nanak says: My wedding-union occurred,
Honor, beauty, good conduct, gifted.  2.

ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ਬਰਸੁ ਮੇਘ ਜੀ ਤਿਲੁ ਬਿਲਮੁ ਨ ਲਾਉ ॥
ਬਰਸੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਧਾਰੇ ਹੋਇ ਅਨਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਹਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਧਰ ਸੁਆਮੀਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਕਿਉ ਮਨਹੁ ਬਿਸਾਰੇ ॥
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਚੇਰੀ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਸੋਭ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਰਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

ਬਿਨਉ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਜਬ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮੇਰੈ ਬੇਗਿ ਆਇਓ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੋ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਹਾਗੋ ਪਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਭਲੇ ਅਚਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੭॥

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.
