I have come to listen and read the Teachings.Forgetting Nam1, engaging in other greeds, human life wasted. Reflect.
O! My unaware mind! Understand,become aware of the indescribable narrative told by Truth-Exemplars.
Earn profit: Remember All-Pervasive in the heart,free yourself from coming-going.
Effort, strength and wisdom are Yours,when You bestow, then I utter Nam.
Nanak: Devotees are engaged in devotion,and they are liked by the Divine. 2.

Body itself is god, body itself is temple,Body itself is the wandering pilgrim.Body is where to offer incense, lamp and eatables,Body is where to worship with petals.  1. 
Searched numerous realms,obtained nine treasures in the body.Since I invoked Charmer-Divine,nothing comes, nothing goes.  1.  Reflect.
The One in the universe, is in the body,the one who searches, finds.Pipa offers: Supreme is the Essence,revealed by the Eternal-Guru.  2.

Girl-friends, unite, unite,imbibe the resolute wisdom of the Eternal Guru,Recount the virtues of my Divine.  3.

Guru’s teachings ended birth and death. The door of suffering no more!Nanak bows again and again, enters Divine sanctuary.  2.

Those whom You attach to Your hem are the dervishes3 at Your door.Their birth-mothers are blessed. Their advent is congratulatory.  2. 
O! Caretaker, You are limitless, fathomless and endless.I kiss the feet of those who have realized the Eternal.  3. 
O! Khuda, I seek Your sanctuary. Your nature is to free.Grant Sheikh Farid the gift of Your devotion.  4.

Listens to Eternal-Guru’s Teaching and Sabad,2Loves Eternal-Guru, this world becomes green.  2.
Fruits and flowers grow, when You make them grow.Eternal-Guru discovered, then connected with the Origin. 3.
You are the Spring, the whole world is the garden.Nanak: Unique devotion is the complete fortune.  4.

I surrender to my own Guru,I sing for eight pahars1 the praise,of the All-Pervasive, the All-Pervasive.  1.
I remember my own Divine Owner,the Knower of all hearts. 1.  Reflect.
As love develops for the Lotus-Feet,conduct becomes eternal,complete and immaculate.  2.
By Truth-Exemplar’s Grace,the One comes to reside in the mind,the evil of many life-times leaves .  3.
O! Compassionate Divine,bestow Grace on the meek.Nanak asks for Truth-Exemplar’s dust-blessing.  4.
1.   Unit of time equaling 3 hours. 8 pahars make 24 hours.

In Transcendent’s sanctuary, hot winds don’t touch.O! Brother! Charmer’s periphery is on my four sides,The pain does not touch. 1 
Met the Perfect Eternal-Guru who made this possible:Gave medicine of Charmer-Divine’s Nam1to sustain the link to “The One.”  Reflect.
That Protector protected. All ailments eradicated.Nanak says: Grace felt. Divine support felt.  2.

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ਤਾਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ॥ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਦੀਆ ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਤਿਨਿ ਰਖਨਹਾਰਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਮਿਟਾਈ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੭੯॥
 
Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.
